Drafted: Round 7, 251st Overall
Height: 5’10"
Weight: 192
College: Colorado State
Birthdate: July 28, 1983
NFL Comparison: Dane Looker

Strengths: David Anderson has been very productive in the Mountain West Conference, averaging over 100 yards per game in 2005. He gets separation from press coverage due to his quickness and strength. Known for his good hands, he is not afraid to make the tough catch over the middle. Anderson was able to get deep at Colorado State using head and shoulder fakes. A capable special teamer and a strong student in the classroom, he was in a Denver-type west coast offense in college.

Areas of Concern: Anderson is more quick than fast (ran in the 4.6 range at the combine). His lack of height and leaping ability makes catching the high pass in traffic difficult for him. He also does not possess great run after catch skills.

2006 Expectations: Anderson will compete for the Texans fifth wide receiver spot on the roster. He will need to show some special teams ability to help ensure that he does; otherwise, he becomes practice squad material.
